HOW LEBRON’S LONGEVITY REFLECTS ON MIKE

LeBron James is the oldest player in the NBA.

He’s older than the head coach he faced last night.

LBJ is going up against children of the men he competed against, two decades ago.

His aging gracefully chart, is on Betty White pace.

As the minutes, highlights, and stat totals keep stacking up…..

It allows LeBron to continue gaining ground in a perception race as the “greatest” versus Michael Jordan.

King James relevance is consuming.

He’s breaking records with each dribble, and this train won’t be stopping anytime soon.

A couple of weeks back, hot take artist Kendrick Perkins was saying “your G.O.A.T. wasn’t doing this at this stage.”

Too young to get it, Jason Mcintyre (FS1) is selling the idea that this is WHY LeBron IS the greatest.

Close, but wrong fellas.

It’s the x factor that puts James IN a legit G.O.A.T. debate.

How does LeBron’s longevity reflect on Mike?

James athletic endurance makes HIM look awesome.

It doesn’t make MJ, Kobe, or Kareem look like any less.

Jordan didn’t lack longevity.

He was three years in college, and 15 more in the pros.

At age 40, he was available for all 82 games.

Kendrick, you want to know what “my G.O.A.T. was doing at this stage?”

Inspiring a young LeBron James to heights even he, could not imagine.

“Air Jordan” had only just completed making planet EARTH, now love basketball.

He’d just got his number retired by a team he didn’t even play for.

I’d guess he was trying to absorb the reality that he’d just won six Finals MVP’s, over a stretch of six full seasons?

Maybe in a casino, daydreaming of winning 25 of his last 26 playoff series?

Imagine an eight-year stretch, where if #23 was on the floor, the Bulls didn’t lose more than TWO games in a row (Pippen’s attempt to maintain this streak stunk).

While James will win the long game, he’s also shining a light on Michael’s peak.

MJ accomplished “more crucial things”, in much less time.

The 1987 to 1993 version of MJ is the best thing I’ve ever seen in team sports.

A flame THAT hot, was going to cool down at some point.

Jordan’s best was better.

LeBron’s unique battery might be able to make up for it.

I’d guess his career will end up wider, but not as tall as Michael’s.
